You're Too Good To Date My Friends

It's possible to be romantically involved with someone who irritates you to pieces. You can be "in love" with someone you don't even like! Maybe he's looking for that "spark,"...that excitement - but that doesn't last, and could very well be why his prior relationships didn't work out. True love has a solid foundation of friendship based on mutual interests, common goals, and enjoying each other's company. It's a veritable mutual admiration society between two people. If that's what you have, then he's missing the boat! If your friendship is truly as good as you say it is, then you should be able to ask - and he should be able to tell you - that he's not attracted to you in that way, but cherishes your friendship; or that he's afraid he'll lose you forever if you become intimate and it doesn't work out. It's all about honesty.
