How The American Police Car Has Changed



Police cars are a fact of modern life. Everyone driving down the highway knows exactly what to look for. Though cop cars vary from town to town, but there are a few general similarities: sirens, grills, lights on the side, and special color schemes. Of course there weren’t always police cars. They had to get cars in the prohibition period to chase bootleggers. Once police got cars, they needed ways to alert the people that their cars were not civilian cars. Hence the paint, and then the sirens. After that came the speed.
