Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald Gets Its First Trailer

The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is here, giving fans a look at what to expect when they journey back to the world of 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them when the sequel to the Harry Potter prequel hits theaters. Making a return is Eddie Redmayne’s magical zoologist Newt Scamander. He was last seen in New York, tracking down some of his escaped fantastic beasts before getting embroiled in a larger plot with the infamous dark wizard Grindelwald who wants to conquer the wizarding world. Also back for the sequel is Katherine Waterston as Newt’s love interest Porpetina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Newt’s good-natured non-magical Muggle (technically No-Maj) friend Jacob Kowalski, and Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, who seems to have survived his apparent death in the previous movie. The second movie will pick up after the events of the first, following Grindelwald’s capture. The trailer also gives us our first glimpses of Jude Law as a youthful Albus Dumbledore, who seems to be working behind the scenes with Newt to fight Grindelwald.
