
Darwin’s bark spider may be smaller than a thumbnail, but its ability to shoot a twenty-five-meter web to bridge a river or other obstacle has to be considered one of the natural wonders of the world.
Even better is that if it turns out the web plan doesn’t work, it reels it in and saves it to snack on later.
That’s called having your cake and eating it, too, but more useful if not as tasty.
