Conspiracy theorists were set into a tizzy when ISS’ live feed was interrupted after a mysterious object was captured falling to Earth, but their numbers were bolstered by an unlikely supporter, a writer at Popular Mechanics.
Sure, Jake Swearingen sounded a bit too enthusiastic over the whole affair to be entirely credible, yet we can’t help getting our hopes up the tiniest bit.
On July 9, NASA was streaming footage from the ISS when YouTuber Streetcap1 spotted something (aliens? probably aliens) entering the Earth’s atmosphere. But as the object (again, almost 100 percent aliens) nears our planet, the NASA feed cut out. While Streetcap1 points out it could be a meteor, we’ve seen Independence Day. We know what’s up.
As usual, it’s a blurry thing, not exactly carrying a sign announcing, “We’re here!” Beggars can’t be choosers, though.
