Breaking down the reaction between 7UP & lithium [video]

Once upon a time, part of 7UP’s appeal was supposed to be that it contained lithium salts, so the staff at Periodic Videos decided to see what would happen if one added metallic lithium to the modern soda. Though the science is cool, Sir Martyn Poliakoff who hosts the episode has become our new favorite scientist to watch explain experiments because he’s got the mad scientist look down so perfectly with an English accent to boot.
