Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have been happily married since 2010, have two children together, and are basically the definition of #CoupleGoals; but just how exactly did their love story begin? While promoting their first film together, A Quiet Place (which Krasinski also wrote and directed) Blunt revealed to Seth Meyers how she and her husband first met. The actress described the encounter as both a "sad, lame story" and "our romantic comedy." We agree more with the latter.
According to Blunt, she and a mutual friend were out having dinner when the pal noticed Krasinski was in the same restaurant. "My friend goes, 'Oh my god, there's my friend John,'" the actress recalled during her appearance on on Late Night.
Krasinski, who was having dinner with Justin Theroux at the time, came over to talk to them. "He abandoned Justin and came over to talk to us. He did not eat. He just stood there and made me laugh," Blunt continued.
