You likely haven’t been paying attention to Italian politics since American politics are such a mess right now. It’s important to pay attention to world politics, however, and at least the Last Week Tonight segment makes it entertaining. So here’s the scoop: Italy is having an election and the options are all terrible. On the one hand, they’re flirting with fascism. On the other, they’re bringing back a famously egomaniacal former PM. As a result, John Oliver is running.
