“There’s such a theme of change happening,” says Charlie Puth, as he introduces his new song before the assembled masses at the March For Our Lives in Los Angeles. The song is aptly-titled “Change." And, Puth explains at the top of his new video, it “just feels like the right song to perform right now.”
Charlie Puth performs at the American Airlines Center on July 19, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.
The U.S. singer and songwriter on Monday dropped "Change,” the James Taylor-featuring first single from Puth’s forthcoming second album, Voicenotes. And now, he’s shared the official video, which was filmed March 24 when he debuted the new song at the L.A. leg of the national student-led march in support of tighter gun control.
Everyone’s changing. Even Puth, who rocks a new, fuller (and much darker) hair-do and sports a shirt splashed with the mantra “Enough Is” on repeat.
