In case you didn’t know, Childish Gambino is for the children. On last night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Donald Glover stopped by to discuss a myriad of topics, but the highlight of the evening came when he got to meet the Girl Scout who went viral by singing his Awaken, My Love! standout, “Redbone.”
Prior to meeting his young fan, Glover dished on being raised Jehovah’s Witness and not having many things growing up. This in turn translated to him wanting to have his hand in everything as an adult: music, film, TV, etc. The versatile creative then went on to discuss the difference between Donald Glover and Childish Gambino, as well as not playing a rapper on his show Atlanta.
