Pink kicked off the Super Bowl with the national anthem on Sunday night, one week after she delivered a powerhouse performance at the Grammys. On Sunday, she announced on Instagram that she had gotten the flu from her children. But tonight, Pink performed cleanly, with a performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” that hit just under the over-under-two-minute mark—for anyone participating in the prop bet, she made many Super Bowl betters happy.
Wearing a white camouflage dress under a silver metallic jacket and white star earrings, Pink drew out the notes on the anthem, ending with an impressively long “brave.” Though she might have nailed the actual song, the singer's moment of spitting out her gum beforehand caused a minor stir on Twitter.
