Maroon 5 dropped the video for “Wait,” Thursday (Feb. 8), calling on famed director David Meyers and actress Alexandra Daddario to create a surreal breakup mess.
The video is an artistic imagining of dreamlike alternate universes featuring Levine trying to win back a decided Daddario, who always escapes the singer’s grasp in one way or another, and ultimately leads to his very literal unraveling. The impressive visuals are really no surprise considering Meyers' resume: He is also the director of Kendrick Lamar's award-winning "Humble," and more recently Lamar's Black Panther collaboration with SZA, "All the Stars," as well as Justin Timberlake's "Supplies."
