At long last, Janelle Monae is ready to hit the music circuit again. On Thursday (Feb. 15), Monae announced her third solo album titled Dirty Computer and unveiled a glossy, futuristic trailer for the accompanying narrative film of the same name.
Monae describes Dirty Computer as an "emotion picture," which follows Monae's last solo album, 2013's The Electric Lady, and her Wondaland Records' compilation album Wondaland Presents: The Eephus released in 2015.
The Dirty Computer film trailer is every bit as striking and high-energy as one would expect from a Janelle Monae project. The visual begins with Monae lying in a bed in the middle of what appears to be a science lab as clips of a raucous party, a police official grabbing a woman, and Monae's possible love interest (Thor: Ragnarok's Tessa Thompson) play in her mind.
