More wizarding activities have been announced for A Celebration of Harry Potter, the three-day event that begins Friday at Universal Orlando’s theme parks.
New offerings at Islands of Adventure will include sneak peeks at the mobile game called “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery” and a discussion of the music for the “Potter” films by CineConcerts founder/conductor Justin Freer and co-founder/producer Brady Beaubien.
At the Harry Potter Expo inside Universal Studios park, fans can learn more about CineConcerts performances featuring a live orchestra and “Hogwarts Mystery,” produced by Warner Bros. Entertainment.
Occurring in both theme parks will be a scavenger hunt on each side of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. There will be a costume contest in which visitors will be asked on stage dressed as characters from the Potter series. They will be judged on quality and craftsmanship, and some contestants will win, Universal says, “magical prizes.”
Admission to A Celebration of Harry Potter is included with regular theme-park admission. Some activities are first-come, first-served, and holders of Universal’s event vacation packages have special benefits and reserved sections for panels and demonstrations.
