It's very much a temporary house, ideally, for anything long-term, you'd want to add a layer of mud on the bottom to help protect from rain and smaller animals (snakes and such) moving into the hut, there'd be a step in the entrance, but I don't see that much trouble. Also you'd want to add a channel (though he might have) outside to prevent heavy rain from throwing the whole thing (not flooding level, but enough to puddle near the posts which would weaken the foundations otherwise).
