Like we do on any given weekend night, this past Saturday my wife and I ran through our various streaming services to see what was new. Amazon hadn’t added the likes of Lady Bird, The Shape of Water or The Disaster Artist yet, so we hopped over to Netflix where a brand new Netflix original horror film was just released, Open House.
I like horror movies, I like that kid from 13 Reasons Why (Dylan Minnette, who also starred in the superb horror film, Don’t Breathe) so I figured we’d give it a shot. Absent any kind of rating system to see what users or critics thought about it (Netflix doesn’t even have its goofy “percent match” rating on it yet, just “New!”), we took the risk.
