Jason Momoa portrayed Khal Drogo stunningly on "Game of Thrones", too good that it almost killed his acting career. The 38-year-old "Justice League" actor revealed on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Monday, January 22 that he's struggling to book gigs after playing the leader of the Dothraki on the hit HBO series.
"Yeah, not a lot of people thought I spoke English," he told Jimmy Fallon. "It was very challenging."
The "Aquaman" actor, who was born in Hawaii, later joked, "What do you do with Khal Drogo? I mean, you're not gonna put him in a comedy. You're not gonna put him in a romantic [movies]. You know what I mean?" Momoa continued saying that the character was "so pigeon-hold."
Momoa went on sharing that he first realized about it when he met with Fred Armisen, who starred on "Portlandia" with his stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz. "Actually, the first person that really made me, I guess I was bummed out a little bit, was Fred. Your buddy--Armisen," Momoa explained. "I met him, and my stepdaughter, Zoe, did 'Portlandia'. "
