Get Out' Star Daniel Kaluuya On "Weird Stuff" Said By White People




Making his late-night debut on 'The Late Show,' the actor also recalled being starstruck after meeting Oprah Winfrey and Denzel Washington. Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya made his late-night debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Tuesday night, where he explained how director Jordan Peele tried to "navigate the Western world" and explore the "weird things" said by "white people" in his film. The actor explained that Peele "tapped into a universal black truth." "We’re like, ‘White people say some really weird stuff to you. … White people say weird things,” Kaluuya said. Colbert then asked what kind of “weird things” he could say to the actor. Kaluuya, noticing that Colbert was picking at his fingernails, joked that the late-night host was "nervous." “This is how people watch Get Out,” Colbert quipped.
