Remember, you are not paying for a taxi. It's ride sharing.
That's why Uber is allowed to charge so little and evade regulations that govern taxis, because they told everyone they are engaged in ride sharing.
The drivers are sharing cars their cars with you. It should help you both out.
In that sense, I am thus appalled at your behavior that you demand a person who is willing to share their car with you not take personal phone calls. That seems more than just a bit entitled if you ask me.
