The filmmaker Dustin Farrell traveled over 32,000 kilometers in the US during the summer to film thunderstorms with his slow-motion camera. We can now admire the result in the form of the short film "Transient". Within three minutes we see several times how the gloomy sky brightens and flashes spread. The special camera from Farrell makes it very clear how some lightning continues to ramify, while others immediately hit the earth.
Imposing cyclones and the movement of massive clouds have captured the filmmaker on his tour. For 30 days, Farrell has gone in the footsteps of storm hunters. His respect for these people, who regularly chase thunderstorms, has increased even further over this time. In general, Farrell considers working on "Transient" as the hardest of his entire career. Some days he drove for ten hours without receiving any footage. On other days, however, he came home with a big smile, because his income was so rich. Incidentally, he filmed most of the thunderstorms in his home state of Arizona.
