It takes a ton of energy to get thirteen kilojoules, as Styropyro figured out when he finally set to work building this behemoth of a laser cannon. It’s so powerful, in fact, that it destroys the specially made lenses he used for this laser cannon. It may be scary enough that this guy is storying twenty kJs in his garage––enough energy to kill you instantly, but making the laser cannon is even scarier. But even that isn’t the most thought-provoking aspect to this video: most of the equipment he uses in this project comes from household appliances.
