I'm doing O.K.,” Sarah Paulson told Stephen Colbert when she came onstage for her interview at The Late Show Thursday night. “I’m dealing with, you know, normal human anxiety and fear, and then coupled by what’s happening in our country, it’s just laying me out. I’ve got a twitchy eye . . . It’s been twitching since January 20.”
Despite the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue-induced anxiety, Paulson has arguably had a pretty solid 2017. Fresh off of season seven of American Horror Story and looking toward the surefire blockbuster that will be 2018’s all-female Oceans 8, the Emmy winner was on The Late Show to talk about The Post, the upcoming Steven Spielberg movie in which she plays former Washington Post executive editor Ben Bradlee’s wife. Tom Hanks plays Bradlee. Paulson, who said she’d never been in a room with Spielberg before making the film, recalled the first time she ever saw the famed director.
