The New Balance Numeric skateboarding team has a lot of skills that have been captured on video several times. The filmmakers Russell Houghten and James Messina have recently found a rather interesting way to give the tricks of the crew yet an artistic level. In the "Parallax" clip, individual elements of the image are mirrored in an unreal way. So houses and stairs are located at the side and top edges of the video.
The recordings for the film were made in Italy and Germany. In one scene, for example, we recognize the Cologne Cathedral, in another the district court of the Rhineland megacity. The image technology gives the video definitely a special show value. Hoghten and Messina have worked for New Balance and its skateboard section a few times. Among other things, a few years ago they made a video for which they exclusively used an iPhone.
