They’re all movies or TV shows about serial killers. And there are so many more, and more to come. What makes them so popular? This video suggests some reasons; for example, serial killers might mimic the rise of civilization itself. Bringing order to chaos through the subjugation and murder of first their environment viz. animals, and then through the subjugation and murder of their fellow people.
