NASA must be taking notes from this guy. He built a multi-screen, full-immersion simulator for a space-based video game (Elite: Dangerous) that takes up his entire basement. There are subwoofers to simulate the feel of rockets, touch screens to simulate cockpit controls, and even an extra screen for watching movies while you travel.
