Of the Slow Mo Guys , the perennial favorites here on the blog , there is again a new experiment with craziness factor. Gavin Free and Dan Gruchy directed their slow motion camera onto a row of plastic water bottles. Dan also armed himself with a katana, a traditional Japanese sword. What this equipment means, you can certainly imagine with the guys.
Yeah, right: With full force Dan beats from right to left through the row of bottles and cuts them all in the middle. But until it comes to the perfect action, Dan needs only a few practice shots in which he leads the sword partly too early. But even the failed attempts are extremely worth seeing through the lens of the slow-motion camera. Incidentally, this is a phantom Flex4K, which films at 2,000 frames per second.
