Now, finally, the ‘Same Love‘ rapper has cleared up why the hell he owns such a, uh, distinctive artwork. On Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, he explained that he initially bought the piece off Etsy as a white elephant gift for a Christmas party.
In case you’re not up to date with what the hell a white elephant gift is (is this common knowledge? I had to look it up), it’s an intentionally burdensome and difficult to dispose of gift that’s given as a gag.
Welp, joke’s on Mackelmore with this one, because no-one took the nude Biebs home, and it has remained in the rapper’s house ever since.
What’s he done with it in the time since that fateful Christmas party? Why, employed it as a marital aid, obviously.
