
Whenever a big company needs a new headquarters, or a new factory, or pretty much anything, they try to get cities to offer incentives. Usually, those incentives come in the form of tax breaks for the company. In this John Oliver segment, he explains why the math for such incentives rarely, if ever, works out in favor of the cities and often winds up benefitting the company while hurting locals.
