When you think of lava lamps, you probably think of a scene out of some 1970s basement. But Cloudflare isn’t from the 1970s––it’s a modern tech company and they use a wall of lava lamps to help make secure browsing possible. How does it work? Basically encryption relies on random numbers, and the lava lamps provide purely random data to secure your connection. Note: having a lava lamp in your room will neither help your cool factor nor your privacy.
