Hip Hop Veterans Reminisce About The Scene In The ’70s & ’80s




Old hip hop dancers don’t waltz into old age, they boogaloo, lock, b-boy, or whatever style it was they spent their youth perfecting, in this case, on the streets of the Bay Area. Members of GroovMekanex and the Black Messengers told KQED what it was like to be there in the beginning, boom boxes and all.
