Do you ever see a show or an ad and imagine what was said around the boardroom table when it was still in the ideas stage?
Well, it's pretty easy to imagine how that discussion went down for this sparkling gem in the crown of Japanese television.
"Ok, picture this," says someone in a suit, their top button undone and bags under their eyes.
"We get people to climb stairs except – here's the twist – the stairs are slippery."
"We can call it Slippery Stairs," shouts someone from the other side of the room, knocking over their Chinese food takeout container as they leapt up in the sudden enthusiasm of this brilliant brainwave.
A round of applause rings out in the musty boardroom and the glory that is this television segment is born.
