
When it comes to experts in restaurant foods, chefs are probably top of the pecking order. In other words, you should listen to them when they tell you what foods to avoid––and some of these foods are surprising. Chicken, for example, seems like a safe bet. But the problem is many restaurants overcook chicken for fear of making their customers sick, leaving the chicken dry. Kobe beef, the famous Japanese delicacy, is another risky bet thanks to some labeling confusion between Kobe beef and Wagyu.
