Very few people with Down Syndrome will ever be able to sing, according to Down Syndrome Education International. But 12-year-old Madison Tevlin is defying that statistic.
Singing a cover of John Legend’s beautiful song “All Of Me,” Madison is a shining light in this wonderful performance. The astounding 12-year-old defies all statistics and odds associated with having Down syndrome and singing. She’s not letting the fact that she faces adversity keep her from following her dreams; she’s a true inspiration to all.
Madison must use twice the standard vocal energy (measured in microvolts) in order to produce sound to speak, which means that singing uses a lot more energy! She works hard to improve her vocal technique and tone and although she had a sinus infection on the day of this recording, she didn’t want to disappoint anyone.
Enjoy!
