On the surface, comparing the draw weights (that is, how much weight it takes to pull a bow’s string back) of modern and medieval crossbows and bows seems boring. And, on the surface, math seems boring. But this guy manages to make both things interesting. He why medieval bows are so much heavier using easy-to-understand graphs. As a result, you learn a lot about the efficiency (or lack there of) of these bows.
