The Night Nazis Stormed New York

George Washington, American flags, a rousing rendition of the National Anthem with the crowd on its feet; what’s wrong with this picture? Marshall Curry felt something was missing in U.S. history classes, a chapter between the Great Depression and the valor of US troops fighting WWII, the chapter where, for many, so-called American ideals were best expressed by Nazism. Unfortunately, it’s no longer unusual to see a U.S. leader encourage the roughing up of protestors and suspicion of the media to wild applause. Perhaps if more of us had known this history, we wouldn’t be repeating it for all the world to see.
