Iceland Turns To Optical Illusions To Slow Drivers Down

If you suddenly saw a row of concrete blocks in the road, would you slam on the brakes? In one Icelandic town, they’re banking on that reaction. By painting optical illusions at crosswalks, drivers can’t quite trust what they see, so if they don’t care much about pedestrians, they hopefully care about their car. The painting also makes for some incredible photo ops.
