Why Is Modern Art So Bad?




Perhaps you’re of the opinion that modern art has followed the trajectory of previous generations, taking us to new levels of skill and execution, yet Robert Florczak argues just the opposite, tracing the movement toward rock-bottom that art has taken, resulting in the rash of self-expression and shock value taking precedence over skill. Even if you don’t agree, he brings up some valid points for consideration, and, who knows? Perhaps our generation’s Michelangelo or Renoir will be inspired to reach that much higher by such discussion.
