Marilyn Mach vos Savant may have made The Guinness Book of World Records for having the world’s highest IQ, but that didn’t stop scores of academics and non-academics alike from doubting her.
This story starts with something called the Monty Hall problem. You have three doors to choose from to win a car. Behind two doors are goats. After you choose, one goat is revealed. Do you change your guess or stick with the original.
Mach vos Savant answered the problem, but it took years to convince the world she was right.
