New Zealand Teams Whip Out Maori War Dance To Surprise Of U.S. Opponents




Talk about a unique way to intimidate opponents… It’s been a sporting tradition in New Zealand since 1905 to get the team’s adrenaline pumping with a performance of the Maori challenge known as “Ka Mate,” clearly not a practice their U.S. competition was expecting. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite do the trick, seeing as the U.S. team came out on top with a score of 98-71. Well, we’ve never been a country known for being cowed by tradition.
