Grabbing kids’ interest in science young can make all the difference in the world, so what better way to lure them into physics than with a huge musical pendulum wave made of bowling balls?
This model was built on private property near Burnsville, North Carolina, but YouTube user Maria Ikenberry provides an explanation of the phenomenon as well as links to directions on how to make your own (though we’d caution parents on hanging bowling balls in the backyard, because that’s a disaster just waiting to happen).
For areas that experience the occasional high wind gust, this would make for one whopper of a wind chime.
