Jack Cooksey was the first person out the doors of the Apple store in Perth, Australia with his brand-spanking new iPhone 6 in hand, and the unthinkable happen when he opened the box to the onslaught of reporters who rushed him: He dropped it.
Fortunately, the phone survived, and he didn’t start crying on live TV. The official title of first owners, though, goes to a California couple who flew all the way out to Australia to get their hands on the new model as soon as possible, which shows just how far people will go for shiny, new things.
