A bizarre video of an out-of-control scooter is doing the rounds of social media. It shows the scooter flipping on a road, throwing off its rider and two other passengers on the street, and then zooming off on its own. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.
The strange accident took place in Taizhou, China's Jiangsu province, shows the scooter carrying two adults and a child.
The rider can be seen trying to avoid a car making a U-turn and that's when the accident takes place. Moments later, when the rider tries to pick up the scooter off the ground, the two-wheeler takes off even though the man's feet are still on the ground. He's eventually forced to let go of the scooter, which collides into other vehicles on the road before falling down again.
The video makes for a strange watch. And what's even more surprising than the scooter acting up is how no one stops to help the passengers stranded on the road.
