Robert Ryan uploaded the footage to YouTube explaining that his uncle, Blake Henderson, had dropped it when his small aircraft hit severe turbulence in the sky above the US.
Blake had been flying around at 1000ft at the time.
“His phone was sucked out of the plane by accident and dropped into a very nice family’s yard,” Robert wrote in a caption alongside the clip
It takes just 17 seconds for the phone to fall to Earth in the stunning clip.
The footage captured the Earth below spinning out of vision before suddenly the phone lands upright in someone’s back garden.
Unbelievably, the phone survives the sky dive and even continues to record as the bewildered homeowners finally discover it.
