The rumor that got people so excited was that the video below of this cuddly (but kind of crazy-eyed) cat of Central Asia was that it was caught by a camera trap in Nepal, yet it only takes a single viewing to wonder at the amazing quality. Jerry Coyne at Why Evolution is True believes the misunderstanding arose because there were indeed pictures of the domestic-sized wild cat caught in Nepal earlier this year, but they’re not even close to this kind of clarity.
