It’s the kind of thing every kid dreams about when they start digging in the backyard or during their first dive in the ocean, discovering buried treasure, yet for Brent Brisben, the dream came true, and he caught the million-dollar moment on camera.
The shipwreck was one of eleven that sunk off the coast of Florida in 1715, five more of which have been identified, though not explored.
Brisben, owner of Queens Jewels LLC, has salvaging rights to the fifty-one gold coins, forty-foot-long gold chain, and other treasures found in the wreck.
