How To Survive A Rip Current

With so many landlubbers heading to the beach this summer, it’s important to understand what a rip current is, how to spot one, and what to do if you get stuck in one. First and foremost, swim where there’s a lifeguard whenever possible and signal for help if you find yourself struggling. If help can’t be found, remember that rip currents don’t pull you under and that it’s often impossible for even an Olympic swimmer to “beat” a rip current, so follow this advice to keep you, your family, and your friends safe.
