3D Printer Uses Recycled Plastic Bottles

Before 3D printing hits the mainstream, it would be great if all the plastic junk we’ll someday be printing at home used recycled products right from the get-go. Coca-Cola and will.i.am teamed up with 3DSystems to create the EKOCYCLE Cube, which takes old PET plastic bottles and recycles them into the building material of a 3D printer. Considering all the wasted paper that traditional printers create, though, what we do wonder is if the products it creates will also be acceptable at the recycling center.
