Paul Simon Explains How He Wrote “Mrs. Robinson”

Right about now, you may be thinking we could use a little Joe DiMaggio to turn our lonely eyes to, but what did that line mean back when Paul Simon penned the lyrics to his hit, “Mrs. Robinson”? In 1970, he spoke to Dick Cavett on composing that particular song for the film The Graduate.
