All too often, the last thought we give to fishing line is a few choice curse words when it breaks, but that momentary annoyance is nothing compared to the grief that line can cause to other ocean dwellers.
Divers from the Underseas Hunters Group ran across a manta ray of Cocos Island the pain of which was clearly visible in the vicious slashes across its body left by the line.
Here, we see them cutting the enormous beast free, much to its relief.
