
Aircraft carriers aren’t known for their high-speed maneuvers, and while we realize there’s an excellent reason for one to be able to pull off a few fancy moves, we’re betting someone at the helm of the USS Abraham Lincoln is having a heck of a lot of fun.
Commissioned in 1989 and designed to last more than 50 years, the carrier finished its its mid-life refueling and complex overhaul last month. A process which lasts four years, it not only switches out the fuel in its nuclear reactor, but also many of the systems onboard.
